How Charming

The challenge at Less is More is to use a charm on your card.  I used an anchor charm to make two nautical-themed cards using Guiding Light from wplus9 stamps.  The first card uses the larger 2-step lighthouse stamp in two colors.  The second uses the smaller lighthouse in blue only.

I'm not a big spender and am generally pretty slow to make purchases (my husband might not agree).  However, when I saw this set recently I bought it without a second thought!  I also purchased the Mother's Day Bouquet set and would have bought the pocketful set if it hadn't been sold out.  I love these stamps and expect to be using them a lot.

Last week's Less is More challenge was a real doozy - to doodle on a one-layer card.  I actually did make a card for the challenge, but didn't get it posted in time.  These fuchsias always seem awkward to me when stamped alone, but with a doodled square around each one, I rather like them.  I was inspired by some Hero Arts stamps I've seen with a flower inside a square.

Wow fantastic cards...love the lighthouse image youve used, the cards are brilliant, so smart, and the doodle is the perfect finishing touch to your fuchsia stamp! Glad you posted it.

Those nautical themed cards are just great! The design is pretty, and the colors are just perect for the theme. The twine is a nice detail too.

Ann, I really love that lighthouse image! Beautiful coloring and gorgeous cards! Your doodled card for last week is cool...I wouldn't have thought to add squares around the blooms...but it really looks good!

I'm like you, I wait & wait to buy things - but my hubs wouldn't agree either! Love the anchor charm - how perfect for that image! Love the nautical colours too.
And the fuchsias are so pretty inked with both colours. That would be a hard challenge, but you rocked it!

I love your lighthouses and see why you had to bring them home with you. The anchor charms and twine are perfect accompaniments to the images. The doodling really makes the pretty flowers stand out. I'm always missing challenges. Time just flies by way too fast!

I really like the first lighthouse -red and white - and then the touch of twine to carry your charm. Great card.

I love your lighthouse cards, Ann, and your doodling is inspired! I have some odd "floating" flower images like that and love the tip on grounding them with the boxes! Thank you!

Fantastic card Anne; perfect charm to use with the image. What a shame you didn't get to post your doodle card - it's lovely too.
