OLW 56 and LIM 18

The One Layer Wednesday Challenge at Simplicity is to make a one-layer Father's Day card and the Less is More challenge18 is to make a monochromatic card. For this card I decided to use one of my new Hero Arts sets, delicate leaf clusters, in shades of green.


I masked a rectangle with post-its and sponged gently with Memento pear tart and Versamagic sage. Then I peeled off the post-its and stamped the largest branch from delicate leaf clusters. Finally, I stamped a little Father's Day sentiment from a PTI tag-its set.

It's a gorgeous day here in Washington. We're off to catch a ferry to the city to take in a baseball game. I'll come back later to admire all the beautiful cards submitted to my two favorite challenges.
