I made this card for color challenge 35 at CR84FN, which is to use lavender, celery, and gray. While walking my dog down to the beach the other night I came across a patch of thistle, which inspired this card.
This next card was actually my first try, but I found both the white paper and the green ink to be too bright. I do like the fact that the panel is smaller on this card and I think I like the gray sentiment. I'll have to do a third round combining my favorite elements of the two! :)
Supplies:
Paper: PTI rustic white, Coredinations gray, lavender from scrap bin
Stamps: Hero Arts real flowers, PTI sentiment, Close to My Heart sentiment
Ink: VersaMagic Spanish olive, purple hydrangea

Please tell me you are in Jamaica???? We were just there in May and had a wonderful time! I read Kingston and beach so i HAD to ask! Both of your cards are so pretty! I LOVE that thistle image. I kinda think I like the gray sentiment better too but not enough to choose one over the other. THX for playing with us at CR84FN!
What a gorgeous design Ann! I agree with you about the softer green on the top card and I love the effect of the grey sentiment too. Vx
Such a beautiful card! Love your stamping and the colours you have used, the sentiment looks good in purple and grey!
Love the subtle flowers and the colours. I think the grey sentiment would look fab too. x
So very pretty! Very soft and serene looking! Thanks for joining along with CR84FN :)
I think both cards are just super. I really like the soft green on the sympathy card but the bright green works brilliantly on the other card. Thanks for playing along with CR84FN!
You card is beautiful. I love the layered flowers on both cards.
ooooo now that's a wonderfull showcase on how these colours look great together! I love both styles but agree the green and lavender are more pleasing on the first card :)
I wish we could take our mutt to the beach for a daily walk!
