Dynamic Duos 15

I have two cards that I made using the colors from Dynamic Duos 15 - pink and green.  I started both cards a few nights ago using sketches from the Hero Arts August contest, but wasn't happy with the way they were working out.  Last night I scrapped the sketches and used simplified designs that made me happier.

For the panels on both cards, I stamped flowers from the Hero Arts lotus leaves set.  LOVE those flowers.  I inked them using two colors of Memento inks.  To make the sentiment strip on the first card I simply cut a rectangle out of scrap cardstock and used a circle punch to notch the corners.  I'm sure this is in everyone's standard book of tricks, but I felt brilliant when I thought of it!  :)  The sentiment on the second card is a Hero Arts sentiment that I fussy cut.

Dynamic Duos #15

CASology # 1

I've made a couple of quick cards for the brand new challenge blog, CASology.  Each week there will be a challenge to create a CAS card based on a single cue word.  The word for this week is sun. 

I used Hero Arts Sky's the Limit and made two cards.  I'm not overly thrilled with either of them but decided to post anyway.  The blue cardstock is impressed with my new PTI canvas impression plate.  So excited to finally have this as it had been out of stock the last few times I ordered.  I added a little glitter glue to the sun for some sparkle.

Neon Joy Ride

A quick post to share the card I uploaded to the Hero Arts flickr group this morning for the July contest. I made this last night after finishing my gold card for Less is More.  The bright colors made me happy. :)  I used Joy Ride, one of my favorite sets.

Fall Birthday Cards

I'm still finishing up my fall birthday cards for all the October birthdays in my family. I needed a couple of cards that were more masculine, so I used fall colors and my Hero Arts leaf prints set to make the following two cards.

I stamped a pattern of leaves across a PTI rustic white panel. For the sentiment, I used PTI fillable frames popped up on dimensionals and finished it off with some embroidery floss.

The second card is made using the beautiful fall colors from CR84FN39. Orange, yellow, and brown were perfect for my fall leaves.
