I've made a couple of quick cards for the brand new challenge blog, CASology. Each week there will be a challenge to create a CAS card based on a single cue word. The word for this week is sun.
I used Hero Arts Sky's the Limit and made two cards. I'm not overly thrilled with either of them but decided to post anyway. The blue cardstock is impressed with my new PTI canvas impression plate. So excited to finally have this as it had been out of stock the last few times I ordered. I added a little glitter glue to the sun for some sparkle.
Thanks for visiting!
Ann
These are both great! Love the images you used, especially those fluffy clouds! The glitter on the sun is a great touch! :) Thank you so much for joining us at CASology for our very first challenge!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are so cute, love the sun and the sentiment. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology..
ReplyDeleteLove both cards, Ann. I really couldn't choose between the two.
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkly suns! I'm actually (gasp) going to play along with CASology - wish me luck ;)
ReplyDeleteI like them both! awesome take on the challenge!
ReplyDeleteAww, what a sweet sentiment! I love your sparkly sun - I especially love the white one and how you made just part of the card be the sky (although they're both perfectly wonderful - I have an affinity for white!!). Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely. I like the top one best. Jenny
ReplyDeleteLOVE both of your cards, ann!! i'm so glad that you are playing along with the first CASology challenge!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm.... I really can't decide which one of these I like best, Ann. It's amazing how just a few simple changes can give you such totally different cards! Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteLove BOTH cards and how I WISH I had the talent to create these FANTASTIC CAS cards....I love them so much!!
ReplyDeleteI hope to get started on something SOON!! :)
Super cute cards! LoVe that sentiment and the sparkly sun!
ReplyDeleteI love your interpretation of the sun and clouds. I my favorite is your first card. Darling.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work, Ann! I love both of these cards! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are your own worst critic Ann - both cards are lovely. I like one of the clouds being dotty!
ReplyDeleteBoth so beautiful, I love the sparkle!
ReplyDeleteLove Beth xx
Cute and CUTE! Love both cards, Ann! I especially like the second...and I adore the glittered sun in both!
ReplyDeleteadore these! those images are perfect!!! i love patterned clouds :)
ReplyDeleteYou are always too critical of your work, Ann! These are both adorable and perfect! That glittery sun is stunning! I WANT that sentiment for cards to send to friends who need a boost. Thanks, as always, for being inspirational.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are fantastic Ann. Of the two my favorite is the first. I like the blue vertical strip representing the sky with focal image and complimenting each other in opposite locations. My eye starts at the top left, travels down the blue vertical panel and then to the right bottom corner with a nice ending. Very nice design.
ReplyDeleteWhoops, sorry Ann, I've left two comments. However, my last comment gives you a better idea why the first card was my favorite. Also: I meant to type (the focal image and sentiment complimenting ... ) Little easier to understand written that way.
ReplyDeleteI think they both look great Ann... I luuurve suns and clouds :0) That IP is one of my go to textures too...just love it :0)
