Less is More - Neutrals

I'm just popping in with one more card for the Less is More neutral challenge.  My dad had surgery yesterday and I wanted to make a card to send to him.  Neutrals were a perfect choice for a masculine card.

I paper pieced this comfy armchair, which is a free digi from Jane's Doodles, using patterned paper from my scrap box.  I tried two different layouts to see which I liked best.  I thought about adding a tiny button to the pillow and grounding the first chair with an oval stamp, but the button seemed too large and the oval seemed too small. :)

  10. Perfect paper for this - I swear we used to have a chair that looked just like it! Which card did you decide to give him?
I hope that your dad recovers quickly as possible.

  11. What a comfy looking chair! I like both versions. Maybe a tiny brad would work for a button if you really want one. It doesn't need it though.

  12. Both versions are great, Ann....but I have a thing about "grounding" images..so the second card wins by a hair!

  14. What a fun card. That paper for that chair, perfect! I know that grounding is best, but for some reason I am more drawn to the floating chair. Sending best wishes!

  18. I hate when that happens - can't quite find the right sized thing that you need. Never mind though as these are both still fabulous - perfect guy cards!
