Less is More and Play Date Cafe

Talk about just squeaking in! With five minutes to go, here is my entry for the Play Date Cafe color challenge: black and white and one other color (just a splash). This is my first time playing along.

It is also my entry for this week's Less is More challenge, which is to use ribbon or buttons. Nothing new or original here, but it is the first time I've done this kind of ribbon treatment, and I quite like it! I also have a button card in the works, so hopefully I'll be back with another card tomorrow.

Paper: PTI
Ink: Brililance graphite black, Memento rosebud
Stamps: PTI fillable frames
Other: PTI die, cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon from stash

    Beautiful! I really like the embossed backing and the sweet folds on the ribbon. I like both versions, but think the black sentiment is a little stronger visually. Fab!

    Both of them are fabulous prefer the b/w makes the sentiment stand out more, great embossing too.

    What a beautiful card. Making decent bows are beyond my capabilities but I love how you used the ribbon, it really added so much to this card. It's also easy to mail which I do with 99% of my cards. Thank you so much for sharing this.
